Mode Switching Based Parameter Identification for 2TX-1RX Wireless Power Transfer Systems

Parameters within wireless power transfer (WPT) systems could vary for different reasons. On one hand, mutual inductances and load conditions due to operating points of the WPT system. other values capacitors system also aging issues. Identifying those parameters is great importance ensure highly efficient, controllable, reliable operation systems. However, are strongly coupled quite challenging be estimated at same time. This paper proposes a model based method estimate all interest, including inductances, condition, capacitances, multi-coil with 2 transmitting coils (2TX) 1 receiving coil (1RX). Specifically, overcome challenge estimating many time, idea “mode switching” applied greatly improve redundancy parameter identification problem. Auxiliary standard introduced into enable switching modes. Afterward, mathematical established describe physical laws among interested in each mode, fundamental frequency harmonic components. Finally, solve procedure nonlinear calculate parameters. The only requires transmitter side measurements, without any information from receiver side. Experiments conducted on prototype 2TX-1RX LCC-S verified effectiveness proposed method.
